
Sergei Yevtushenko passed away at the age of 68
On February 23, after a serious and prolonged illness, Sergey Ivanovich Yevtushenko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor, talented scientist and teacher in the field of construction technologies, passed away at the age of 68.
He was born in November 1957. In 1980, he graduated with honors from the construction department of the Novocherkassk Order of the Red Banner of Labor Polytechnic Institute named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze, specializing in Industrial and Civil Engineering. From 1980 to 2019, he worked as an assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor, professor, head of department, dean, vice-rector for capital construction and repairs at SUSU (NPI).
Since 2019, he worked at the National Research University Moscow State University of Civil Engineering at the Department of Information Systems, Technologies and Automation in Construction, and as a member of the dissertation council.
In 1988, S. I. Yevtushenko successfully defended his candidate's dissertation, and in 2011, his doctoral dissertation. Both dissertations were in the scientific specialty 05.23.02 "Foundations and Foundations". In 1992, he received the academic title of associate professor, and in 2006, professor in the department of "Systems for automated design of construction projects and foundation engineering".
The area of scientific interests of Sergey Ivanovich included information technologies in construction: assessment of the reliability of erected and reconstructed construction projects, experimental and theoretical studies of the stress-strain state of load-bearing structures, foundations and foundation soil, development of new foundation designs, sensors and improvement of information technologies in experimental studies, mathematical modeling of open water flow hydraulics in the design of hydraulic structures.
S. I. Yevtushenko supervised 6 candidates of technical sciences and supervised the scientific work of doctoral and postgraduate students. He was a member of the editorial board of 5 inter-university collections of scientific papers, deputy and editor-in-chief of 17 collections of papers of scientific and practical conferences "Information Technologies in Surveying of Operational Buildings and Structures", editor-in-chief of the journal "Construction and Architecture" (Moscow) and a member of the editorial board of journals included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission: "Construction: Science and Education" (Moscow), "Construction Materials and Products" (Belgorod).
Since 1997, he has been a member of the International Society for Soil Mechanics, Geotechnics and Foundation Construction (ISSMGE). Since 2013 - Advisor to the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction (RAASN).
Professor S.I. Yevtushenko is the author of more than 380 scientific papers. In the last three years alone, he has co-authored 117 articles, including in Scopus and publications from the list of the Higher Attestation Commission, and received two patents. He co-wrote and published a number of textbooks and teaching aids with the stamp of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and educational and methodological councils.
Sergey Ivanovich Yevtushenko was awarded the medal "Veteran of Labor", the badge "Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation", certificates of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Rostov Region, the mayor of Moscow.
Sergey Ivanovich stood at the origins of the creation of the journal "Construction and Architecture" and permanently headed it for more than 10 years.
