Abstract (English):
To assess the modern approach in establishing the severity of harm caused to human health in acute intestinal infections, an analysis of cases in children with acute intestinal infections was carried out. The analysis showed that today it is necessary to assess the harm in children after a certain period of the recovery period, children are more susceptible to acute intestinal infections, while not paying attention to the long-term consequences of infection, which lead to chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and to a significant degree reduce the quality of life. The conclusions indicate the need to develop criteria for assessing the severity of harm caused to health in acute intestinal infections.
