The article addresses the problem of ensuring economic security in border regions of the southwestern strategic direction amid increasing geopolitical and geo-economic turbulence. The relevance of the topic is substantiated by the high sensitivity of these territories to external and internal risks, including disruption of economic ties, reduction of cross-border trade, deterioration of transport and logistics accessibility, population outflow, and rising social tension. A review of the scientific literature is conducted, examining approaches to threat diagnostics, strategic management of economic security, the impact of migration processes, and the role of human potential. It is revealed that ensuring economic security of border regions requires an integrated approach, including diversification of foreign economic relations, structural transformation of the economy, development of transport and logistics infrastructure, strengthening financial stability, and digitalization of management processes. The conclusion is made about the need to form effective mechanisms for adapting regional socio-economic systems to changing environmental conditions.
