INTEGRATION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS INTO THE MECHANISM OF ENSURING REGIONAL ECONOMIC SECURITY
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The article examines the possibilities of integrating sustainable development goals into the mechanism of ensuring regional economic security. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to increase the stability of regional socio economic systems in the context of global economic instability, environmental constraints and structural economic transformations. The paper analyzes theoretical approaches to defining regional economic security and the concept of sustainable development. Existing methodological approaches to assessing regional economic security are considered and their limitations in the context of sustainable development goals implementation are identified. A conceptual approach to integrating sustainable development indicators into the system of strategic planning and monitoring of regional development is proposed. It is substantiated that the use of a comprehensive system of socio economic and environmental indicators contributes to increasing the sustainability of the regional economy and reducing the risks of socio economic destabilization.
