Mission

Geometry and graphics is a scientific journal of geometry, drawing, computer graphics, teaching graphic disciplines and other subjects connected with geometry and graphics. The journal is supported by the leading Russian Research and Educational centres of topical fields such as: Lomonosov Moscow State University of Fine Chemical Technologies (MITHT), MOSCOW STATE ACADEMIC ART INSTITUTE N.A. V.I. SURIKOV OF RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF ARTS (MSAAI), Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MGSU) National Research University (NIU MGSU), National University of Science and Technology MISiS, and others.

Despite significant progress in geometry, computer graphics and, in a smaller measure, in teaching graphic disciplines, many unresolved tasks form a considerable field for theoretical and practical research. This kind of researches form the main part of the Journal's contents.

We aim to promote the Russian scientific school of engineering geometry and computer graphics by consecutive forming of the body of knowledge on the most actual problems of Geometry applications, and by providing the base for interpenetration of researchers' ideas.

Our medium-term goals are ensuring high scientific level of the journal and publishing articles in both Russian and English to enter the international level.

We publish researches on scientific problems, concepts, models, methods, development history in geometry, engineering and computer graphics, study programs, teaching, and computer graphics. Special attention is paid to research of applications of geometry and computer graphics in construction, mechanical engineering, software development, etc., and special innovative, hi-tech projects. Articles on historical aspects of geometry and graphics development in Russia and abroad we consider as actual.

All this forms sections of the journal, among which are (in order of importance):

  • scientific problems of geometry;
  • engineering graphics and drawing;
  • computer graphics;
  • teaching graphic disciplines;
  • technique of preparing and carrying out academic competitions on graphic disciplines;
  • biographies of scientists of geometry and graphics;
  • history of science and engineering.

This list cannot be considered full, as new headings will emerge along with the development of the journal.

Geometry and graphics is a journal for researchers of geometry and graphics, teachers and administration of institutes, universities, colleges, and schools, as well as for all interested in geometry.

Issued 4 times a year.

Included into Ulrich global periodicals directory.

Subscription index of Rospechat agency - 25181.
