The article examines the development of municipal governance mechanisms based on digital solutions in the context of implementing Smart City technology. It is substantiated that the digitalization of municipal governance should be considered not only as a tool for technological modernization of urban infrastructure, but also as a factor in the institutional renewal of local self-government. Particular attention is paid to the use of digital platforms, geographic information systems, intelligent transport solutions, housing and utilities monitoring systems, electronic feedback services for citizens, and forecasting and analytical tools. The article shows that Smart City technology makes it possible to improve the validity of managerial decisions, ensure more rational use of municipal resources, enhance the quality of the urban environment, and expand citizen participation in local governance. At the same time, the main limitations of municipal digital transformation are identified, including the fragmented implementation of digital services, insufficient integration of information systems, a lack of digital competencies among municipal employees, financial constraints, and the risks of formal technology implementation without real changes in management procedures. The conclusion is made that it is necessary to move from the isolated use of digital tools to an integrated platform-based model of municipal governance built on data, interdepartmental coordination, and responsiveness to the needs of the population
